Clivia Interspecifics

Clivia Interspecifics are the product of crosses between the upright flowered form, Clivia miniata, and any of the pendulous flowering varieties such as nobilis, gardenii or caulescens.

The effect of the crossings is to give flowers a mostly flared (with exceptions) shape and more horizontal presentation somewhere between the parent types of ‘upright’ (miniata) and ‘pendulous’ (gardenii, caulescens and nobilis).  Plants tend to be vigorous growers and somewhat larger than the parent types.
